About Me

My name is Zack Schteingart, and I am a junior at the University of Michigan studying Sport Management, originally from New York City. I have always been strongly passionate about sports and entertainment, and have actively immersed myself in these fields through a range of professional and extracurricular experiences. These include roles as an Account Executive at Student Athlete Score, play-by-play sports commentator for WCBN-FM in Ann Arbor, and Head of Marketing for Maize Entertainment, a digital platform I founded. These experiences have enhanced my abilities in communication, storytelling, and creative development, and deepened my enthusiasm for collaboration and group-driven work. As I venture further into the professional world, I aim to to bring these strengths to the sports industry, and look to further explore the intersection between sports, business, and media.

Conducting Research in Sport Management: Mental Health in Sports
My group conducted a detailed study highlighting the impact of mental health struggles on athletes' performance and the stigma surrounding athletes being publicly open about their mental struggles, supported by previous research conducted on the subject, and an analysis of a 20-question survey we conducted on University of Michigan students' attitudes toward mental health.

Ypsilanti Youth Sports Initiative Marketing Plan
My group drafted a proposal for a new youth sports program based in Ypsilanti, Michigan, that aims to make youth sports more accessible and affordable for low-income families. This document highlights the marketing strategy and tactics for this program, and includes analyses of the program's strengths, as well as forecasts for its budget and performance.

Akron RubberDucks Let Them Play Initiative and Family Night Proposal
My group developed an idea for a new philanthropic arm of the Akron RubberDucks that aims to improve equipment accessibility in youth sports and make a meaningful impact on the youth community of Akron. The centerpiece of this initiative is a family-themed game with various charity-based fan engagement activities that enhance the RubberDucks' gameday experience.

Akron RubberDucks
Let Them Play Initiative Presentation
This presentation, intended for the RubberDucks' Director of Corporate Partnerships and Special Events, delves into our group's proposal for the Let Them Play Initiative and Family Night. It details the various activations that will be implemented into the stadium, as well as local charities the organization will partner with, strengthening both the organization's philanthropic presence and their fans' loyalty.

This proposal addresses Detroit City FC's struggling attendance figures by outlining an ambitious campaign of exhibition matches against other professional soccer teams based in the Midwest, complete with a high-profile marketing plan to raise awareness to this event and open new revenue streams for the club.
